Tackling an increasingly important issue
These days faith and religion are regularly in the news. Governments and society are struggling to reconcile the needs of faith groups with the interests of the wider community. Jack Shamash has tackled these issues for the last 20 years.
He has worked on the staff of the Jewish Chronicle - a paper to which he contribute as a freelancer. He is the former deputy editor of the Jewish events and listings paper New Moon and was editor of the London Jewish News. He has spoken on radio - GLR, Radio 4, Spectrum - and has made television programmes on religious issues. He writes on religious issues for the Times, the Guardian, the Independent and the Times Educational Supplement.
